SPRING FEVER

“It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want—oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!”
Outside is where everyone wanted to be this afternoon after school ~ Knox and Shelby bouncing on the trampoline ~
The Grandpeeps ~ Elijah, Knox, Shelby
 Elijah flipping out
Niece Julia and her friend Anna were walking Anna's dog in the neighborhood and stopped to say hi
The sky was particularly spectacular this afternoon
The wind made for some awesome clouds
Love these spring--I mean, winter--sunsets
Happy TGIF!

GRANDPEEP LOVE

Grandson Knox finally got to enjoy his Mother's Day Out Valentines party today after being out of school for all those snow days of late.
He brought home a bag full of Valentine loot and was positive he got way more stuff than his cousin Elijah got at his Valentine party.
Grandson Elijah's recent 4-H demonstration paid off with a third place ribbon.
He demonstrated how to make chocolate chip cookies and was the only guy in the food sciences category. He said the 4-H demonstrations at his school were videotaped and showed to the county-wide judges. Winning third place was a very big deal. Way to go, Elijah!
Granddaughter Shelby is in high school where there are no Valentine or any other holiday parties to enjoy.
I snapped this picture of her today simply for being such a lovely young woman, my one and only granddaughter.
Love all my sweet, beautiful grandpeeps and so proud that they are mine.

02/09/16  The wind blew down our flag along with its holder ~ snow blew in all over the front porch, including the flag ~ oops
I enjoy keeping a blog of everyday stuff ~ it makes a nice journal of sorts to look back on now and then ~ but I've been a blogger slacker this month

LEAP!

"Thirty days hath September,
April, June, and November,
February has twenty-eight alone,
All the rest have thirty-one;
Excepting leap year, that 's the time
When February's days are twenty-nine."
