June is the gateway to summer. ~Jean Hersey

June 1
Little gray bunny hangs out at our house
He must've spotted me taking his picture
Because he .....
..... made a dash for camouflage
Works pretty good, yes?
He sat there like a statue for the longest time before deciding it was safe to move on
I'm amazed he hasn't been dinner for the stray cat that keeps crisscrossing through our yard
June 3
Grandson Knox's coaches pitch baseball team was first up to compete in the tournament against a team they had beat several times
Knox is there on the pitcher's mound/base
But his team lost by a wide margin
And so ended coaches pitch baseball this season for the Pirates
June 4
Our fave Thai food restaurant re-opened (finally!) after a two-month hiatus
Yum!
June 5
Fireball sunset
June 7
Nice evening for a stroll in the neighborhood
Cool clouds
June 8
Heading north on Jefferson Avenue

Grandson Elijah and that signature hair flip
Grandkids Knox, Elijah, and Shelby
Breaking in the fire pit Neil got for Father's Day last year
Roasted some 'mallows, made some s'mores

Isolated
June 14
Granddaughter Ella
The tag is always more fun than the toy
And it tastes good too
Then her cousin Shelby stopped by to play and that was even more fun
June 15
"Childhood is a short season." ~Helen Hayes
June 16
Ella attended her first Cradle Roll class taught by none other than her great aunt Jane who makes learning about the Bible so much fun
June 16
Father's Day lunch
Celebrating Daddy/Grandpa

Had some fun with SketchGuru app
June 21
We spent the first day of summer at the Nashville Flea Market
Hot dogs
Hot day
Last time we were here was last October
This one's for you, Fred and Barney
You know who you are
The flea market is never boring and never lacking in strange and unusual items
And since I, myself, am strange and unusual, I enjoy all the weird stuff
Product placement
This vendor was either totally oblivious or had an irreverent sense of humor
39 star US flag
$275
In the market for a nice frame? This one was for sell
Unless you just happen to want to hang a picture of two total strangers from what looks like the sixties on your family room wall
I'm sure they never dreamed they'd end up on display at a flea market
Singer/songwriter Dan Fogelberg (who passed away in 2007) once joked during a concert in Nashville that Nashville will be a nice place if they ever get it built
Well, Dan, it's about thirty years later
They still don't have it built
I don't think he'd be all that surprised
And to celebrate the summer solstice
Peach milkshake from the Chick!
June 23
Little mermaid Ella
First swim at Echo Valley pool
Knox and Elijah poolside
June 23
Had to share this pic Kelly took of Ella
Makes me LOL
June 25
She was one sick kiddo for the better part of a week
She's all better now

June 28

Watching American Ninja Warrior
She's not supposed to be watching TV
