“At last came the golden month of the wild folk-- honey-sweet May, when the birds come back, and the flowers come out, and the air is full of the sunrise scents and songs of the dawning year.” ― Samuel Scoville Jr., Wild Folk

The trees on our street are old and unhealthy, especially the ones that endured topping--such a terrible practice that needs to stop
All it took was one strong wind to rip a huge limb off our neighbor's maple tree that's been slowly decaying from the inside out
They were forced to remove some of the others branches too
So sad. This tree is (was) really beautiful in the fall

To have enjoy'd the sun,
To have lived light in the spring,

“But there's a story behind everything. How a picture got on a wall. How a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all your stories is always your mother's story, because hers is where yours begin.” ― Mitch Albom, For One More Day

“But kids don't stay with you if you do it right.
It's the one job where, the better you are, the more surely you won't be needed in the long run.”

Me and my girls
They are simply the best kids a mom could ever have.
Maybe all moms feel that way about their children.
But it's my truth.
They are a blessing to me.

“Perhaps it takes courage to raise children..”
