The star of the show ~ Don roasted a most excellent turkey
Kelly, Kerry, and Knox hosted our Thanksgiving feast this year ~ And it was a FEAST!

Turkey, ham, Don and I made two different dressings plus his gravy, Holly made broccoli casserole and deviled eggs, I made garlic grit casserole, Jane made two kinds of sweet potato casseroles (one with marshmallows on top and one with brown sugar topping), Kelly made potatoes stuffed with cheddar cheese and bacon, and of course there was two kinds of cranberry sauce

We rewarded our effort to burn some calories by pigging out on pies when we got back ~ Shelby made this yummy Reese's Peanut Butter pie
Jane made a pumpkin pie using Don's mom's recipe, Don made whipped cream from scratch, and Kelly made a chocolate fudge pie using Kerry's mom's recipe ~ to die for good
Jerry killed the deer and he and Holly made the jerky ~ yum!

After pie, it was back outside for an energetic game of kickball ~ they played until it got too dark to see

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving together.
