September 1 ~ Playing with an app called Paper by FiftyThree that lets you sketch and draw with pens and brushes, take notes, create diagrams, and draw on photos, etc ~ it's kinda fun
September 1 ~ Also playing with an app I heard about on Photojojo called Gudak Cam, "a disposable camera in your iPhone" ~ you get 24 shots for one 'film roll' and after you finish the last shot of the 'film' you have to wait an hour to reload the 'film' ~ And THEN you have to wait a full 3 days for the so-called developing process to see your photos ~ there's a tiny viewfinder just like in those old disposable cameras and no preview of the shots you take ~ the 'developing process' adds random filters and light leaks ~ and here is a lovely portrait of a bowl of popcorn taken with Gudak ....
.... took this one while sitting in the car waiting for the light to change ~ the viewfinder is so tiny it's hard to see what your snapping ~ the app actually makes the clicking noise of the shutter button and the grinding sound of the 'film' rolling forward ....
.... so you don't know what you're going to end up with until your photos appear in your photo file ~ fun stuff I guess but a bit frustrating for those of us who are spoiled by the instant preview of digital phone cameras ~ this one looks like a snapshot circa 1970 ~ fun fact: Gudak is taken from the term 'Gudagdali', an old Korean term for 'outdated' ~ they got that right
September 3 ~ Jane and me ~ great sisters think alike ~ I made that up, but it's true ~ this happens a lot in our sisterhood

September 15 ~ Today ~ grandson Knox is ready for Halloween in his Optimus Prime Transformers costume ~ his Aunt Holly (jokingly) bet him a hundred dollars this would not be his costume come Halloween ~ this bet is based on past experience as last year he couldn't decide what/who he wanted to dress up as and ended up with a mashup of four different super hero costumes
