The world's favorite season is the spring. All things seem possible in May. ~Edwin Way Teale

May 1
Ella, Kelly, and I visited (niece) Sarah’s ‘Cool Stuff’ booth
at the Algood Mingle Market where she sells her handmade
items like hats, totes, and pot holders. I bought a couple of
pot holders. So pretty and very useful.
Also a good day for some Lazy Cow Creamery ice cream with Knox and Neil ...
… and Kelly and Ella
May 2
Let’s go to Sunday school!
May 7
What’s (or who’s) in the box?
She had the best time playing with this big box
Kids don’t want the toys. They just want the empty box.
This is Knox’s first year playing kid’s pitch baseball
Fewer hits, more walks and steals
He’s playing first base
May 9
Happy Mother’s Day to my awesome daughters
Holly and Kelly
who are awesome moms!
May 11
Loves picking flowers wherever she goes
May 13
Sunny (in your face) day at the ballpark
Knox at bat
May 14
Aunt Holly came to watch the game
Holly is an Ella magnet, always
May 17
Kelly and Kerry celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary (a day late)
May 18
Run, Knox, run!
May 19
Anniversary breakfast at Grandma’s Pancake House
Happy 48 to us!
May 21
Good day for blowing bubbles ...
… and visiting with her cousin Elijah who ate lunch with us
before heading to school for his English final
May 26
Last day of 3rd grade for Knox
This boy made all A’s all year
May 27
Spotted a flower child clover princess at the ball game
After the ball game, we hit the carnival at the fairgrounds
and so did a gazillion other people
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crowd this size
at a local carnival (or fair)
Long long long lines for every ride and food vendor
This was Ella’s first time to ride the rides
She loved it
Her mom snapped this pic
Grandpa rode the merry go round with her
as he’d done with Knox when Knox was this age
Ella loved it. Grandpa just about fell off the platform.
Kelly managed to grab this shot of Knox
as he whooshed past us on the roller coaster
Kimbroughs at the carnival
Knox ran into one of his baseball team mates
They endured the long lines and had a blast
riding the big rides together
Ella happily photobombed
Fair Hair
Don’t Care
May 28
Tornado warning around one pm
Turned out to be an EF-0 tornado (65-85 MPH wind)
that touched down on the too-close-for-comfort outskirts of town
and left damaged trees and buildings and power outages
Caught us all by surprise. Thankful it wasn’t worse.
Their dad dusted off Knox’s little roller coaster he rode
when he was Ella’s age and put it together for Ella to enjoy
More fun than pint-sized humans should be allowed to have
May 29
Our resident chipmunk
He chased a bird away so he could munch sunflower seeds in peace
He (she?) lives under the deck
May 30
Caught grandson Elijah in a pensive moment
during Sunday lunch at El Tapatio
Granddaughters Shelby and Ella
playing guess-which-hand
Parking lot group shot
(Almost my whole family—missing a son-in-law who was working)
