HAPPY 38TH BIRTHDAY, HOLLY!

Daughter Holly celebrated her 38th birthday today. The Baskin-Robbins chocolate chip ice cream/chocolate cake is a long time birthday tradition for her, complete with Christmas decorations.

ELIJAH'S 10TH BIRTHDAY PARTY

Grandson Elijah turned 10 years old on August 17, 2016. He celebrated turning the BIG ONE O with a party at his house today with friends and family. His cake was decorated with a hunting theme. He and the other kids enjoyed the giant water slide, which has become a fun tradition for his summer birthday. The best part of all, of course, was opening his presents--cash and video games and T shirts to name a few. Wow. A whole decade old! Happy Birthday, 'Lijah-Man!! We love you very much!!

HAPPY 36TH BIRTHDAY, HOLLY!

Her traditional Baskin-Robbins birthday cake ~ chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate cake ~ I can’t even remember when this got started, but it is a tasty tradition ~ With her birthday being nine days before Christmas, she’d always end up with a Christmas-themed cake ~ I think she hated it after a while but lately has embraced those red and green decorations

You know you’re getting “old” when it takes this many people to light your candles

Presents!

Here she is way back in 1982 blowing out four candles on her Christmas-decorated cake. Dig that ‘Annie’ hat! I remember she wore it the whole day [and night]. Happy birthday, dear daughter, our almost-Christmas baby! You are the best Christmas present we ever received. Your dad and I love you so very much!!

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY, KNOX!

Grandson Knox celebrated his 3rd birthday this evening at his house with family and friends. He loves the TV show Paw Patrol, so that was his party theme this year. He picked out the decorations for his delicious Dairy Queen birthday cake.

He was super excited all day about his birthday.

A balloon bouquet from Granny and Grandpa ~ turning 3 is a big deal. He also loves anything Thomas Train and the Cars characters, so those played a big part in his celebration, too.

Every time someone came through the door [Great Aunt Ann in this case], he ran to greet his party guests.

….the adults tried to figure out how to put the toys together ~ once they figured out how to get them out of the box

Motorized T Rex shot darts and was way cool as he walked along the table. Knox received many most excellent gifts and was pleased with them all. He enjoyed every second of his 3rd birthday and probably won’t sleep at all tonight.

HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY, ELIJAH!

Grandson Elijah celebrated his 8th birthday today with family and friends at his house.

In keeping with birthday party tradition in their family, his mom and dad rented a giant water slide. How cool is that!?

Dad always lights the birthday candles. This year, Elijah had a Guardians Of The Galaxy theme.

He was excited to blow out those eight candles while we sang the Birthday Song.

Mom always serves the cake which was yummy.

Hard to believe he’s already enjoying his eighth birthday cake!

The best part is always opening all those presents and cards. He received a lot of cool gifts.

This Batman hoodie was from his grandmother Mimi.

And maybe best of all, a brand new bike from his mom and dad. He seems to be outgrowing them all too quickly these days. Kind of hard to think of him as “Little Man” any more. Happy 8th Birthday, Elijah!! We love you very much, sweet grandson!!
