Daughter Kelly was a baby last time Neil and I came here
along with my brother and sisters way back in 1977
Nowadays you have to make a reservation with park rangers
to hike down into the gorge
Kelly, Ella, and the Headless Hiker

This deck stretched out over a drop-off
where we stopped to admire the colorful scenery
Running into this was unexpected
so we had to explore
Someone lived here a long long time ago
Unlike the rest of the gang, I opted to view the inside from the outside
Ella wanted to pet the park ranger’s beautiful Tennessee Walking Horse
On our way out, we noted license plates on cars from states all over the country
I think Oregon was the farthest from home
October 23
Enjoyed some back porch/deck time on this awesome Sunday afternoon
October 24
Autumn color in the woods in back of our house
I ditched my cell phone camera for my old school ancient Kodak EasyShare camera
and took a few shots around the house

Can’t get enough of the colors of Fall
Not looking forward to bare trees all too soon
Kelly shared this sneak peak of Ella in her Halloween costume
She loves Owlette from the PJ Masks cartoon
October 26
Ella spent the day with us. She took a lunch break from coloring.
Her new fave stuffed animal is the Tennessee black bear she
bought at the Cummins Falls State Park gift shop after our trek in the woods.
Guess what his name is …
Beary

Enjoying this beautiful Autumn day during lunch on the deck,
Neil was surprised to find a red Maple leaf with a heart-shaped hole
Not my first time seeing such a thing,
but I did take its picture and pressed it in a book
Gummies!
Ella’s class at school enjoyed a Halloween party today
She was thrilled with all the candy she found in her trick or treat bag
Our grandson Elijah is working at a local McDonald’s
He took our order this afternoon
He doesn’t know I took his picture
Don’t tell him

October 28
That gleeful face you make when your favorite Thai food restaurant
reopens after being closed the past seven months
Shelby was home from school for the weekend
So glad she got to enjoy some rice and spicy chicken
October 29
Enjoyed a yummy pizza lunch with family at Mamma Rosa's

Trunk or Treat with
Holly The Big Bad Wolf, Jane the Candy Giver, Neil the Scary Clown,
and Knox the demon slayer Tanjiro Kamado
So scary that some of the kids by-passed the lure of Halloween candy
Kelly was Anna from Frozen, Ella was Owlette,
and Knox the demon slayer
October 30
My sister Jane celebrated her 61st birthday
Happy Birthday, little sis!
She never ages. True story.

Hard to believe it’s the end of October already
It’s been one of the most beautiful Autumns I can remember in a long time
Hate to see it go
