“Ends are not bad things, they just mean that something else is about to begin. And there are many things that don't really end, anyway, they just begin again in a new way. Ends are not bad and many ends aren't really an ending; some things are never-ending.” ― C. JoyBell C.

January 1
Out for a walk under the blue sky and sunshine
Great way to begin a new day, week, month, year
Happy New Year greetings from me and the hubs

“The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say”  -Tolkien

Big O Donuts
Also a great way to begin a new year
Knox knows we don't need an excuse to eat donuts
January 4
Ella checking out the bottled drinks at Panera
Did you see that play?!
It was a thing of beauty to watch the Tennessee Titans beat the New England Patriots in the playoffs
Who would've thought at the beginning of the season that the Titans would make it this far, much less one game short of playing in the Super Bowl?
January 5
Frosty
Knox having a blast riding his go-kart, a Christmas gift
January 8
Too cute not to share
Ella wearing her mom's glasses
January 9
Another walk, another day
Red bird
January 10
Elijah gets photobombed by a llama
Shelby and Ella watching TV
January 11
Flooded
We've had more than our fair share of rain this month

January 14
Target practice
Ice cream with peeps at the Lazy Cow
Glad Holly could join us for a scoop
January 15
This is what happens when Grandpa leaves his phone laying around
She's not afraid to use it
The struggle is getting her to give it back --she did finally exchange it for a bag of Goldfish crackers
I think they call it quid pro quo
January 20
Hey, look! We got snow!
Beautiful while it lasted
Red bird in the snow --filtered with the Prisma app
Cold much?
This is the perfect spot to be on a cold day like this
January 23
Another wet day
Through the windshield --a messy impressionist painting of a tree on a hill --Monet? Manet?
Another day, another donut shop
Shelby knows donuts make us happy
Elijah knows this too but probably won't admit it
January 24
She dusted the whole room with a crumpled tissue
Even my jeans got thoroughly dusted
She dusted everything she could reach
I need her to come to my house
January 25
Cousin time
A rare get together with our cousin from Texas who came for his good friend's funeral
Even under the circumstances, we enjoyed our short visit

January 28
Have a nice day!
Happy greetings from the Wal-Mart parking lot

January 30
Headed down that old familiar road to the school pickup line
Pretty day

60 degrees (briefly) We'll take it while we can get it

January 31
Almost to the bottom of an M&M McFlurry
This is getting to be a very bad habit on a Friday night (especially after all the donuts I've consumed this month) My willpower has left the building. This is why I don't make New Year's resolutions. Just sayin'

“JANUARY,
The first month of the year,
A perfect time to start all over again,
Changing energies and deserting old moods,
New beginnings, new attitudes”
― Charmaine J Forde

....maybe next month....
